JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Associate Development Director (Full Time)

Department: Administration

Supervision: Director of Development 

Salary Range: $45K-$65K plus benefits (commensurate with experience)

Hours: 40 per week

Qualifications:

~Bachelor’s degree ~Experience in a non-profit or higher education environment that included development or office management responsibilities ~Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel.

~Experience with data entry: familiarity with Total Info, Donor Perfect or similar software.

~A commitment to confidentiality of donor and client records and ethical fundraising practices as outlined by the Association of Fundraising Professionals’ Code of Ethics ~Excellent organizational skills with consistent attention to detail, an organized work style, and the ability to follow through on assignments with minimal direct supervision

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure accurate recording, tracking, and reporting of all philanthropic gifts, volunteer hours, and related information in Total Info database

2. Manage donor database

3. Prepare acknowledgement letters, pledge reminders, and other development correspondence

4. Produce reports for use by development and administrative staff

5. Assist in the production of mailings, including ordering supplies, soliciting bids, and communicating with vendors as needed

6. Assist Development Director in preparing development related materials including newsletters, website, brochures, social media posts, etc.

7. Assist development staff with special events and other projects

8. Maintain a working knowledge of Hope House Ministries’ programs for use in donor & volunteer stewardship

9. Ensure confidentiality of donor & volunteer information and records

10. Serve as point-person for recruiting, managing, and developing volunteers for the agency.

11. Coordinates volunteer recognition efforts

12. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Development
